Welcome to Newhallywood Tours! We're your guides, E.J. and Kimi Stephens, long-time Santa Clarita Valley residents and Hollywood history lovers. We've written nine books on the subject and spent years working for motion picture studios. Come along as we show you where some of your favorite TV shows and movies were filmed. This is our tour bus (ha, made ya look!)
Join us as we visit famous film and television sites in and around Southern California. There's over a century's worth of film history here, and we love sharing it. Whether you're a local or new in town, you'll see a lot of cool stuff.

Featured on Airbnb Experiences! Are you a fan of M*A*S*H? Did you know the cast and crew of the 4077 never left Southern California? During their 12 seasons, Malibu Creek State Park doubled as Korea. The site is still there, with rusting jeeps, an ambulance, the helipad, a covered picnic area where the mess tent once stood, and a re-creation of the world-famous mileage sign. If you've always wanted to see the location of the Swamp, Col. Potter's tent, and Rosie's Bar, this tour is for you!
Do you have a hankerin' to get in touch with your inner cowboy? To stand where Marshal Dillon stared down the bad guys in Dodge City, or gaze up at the balcony where Al Swearingen once ruled Deadwood? There's only one place to do this - Melody Ranch Motion Picture Studio in Newhall, California. Melody was the setting for such landmark films and TV shows as "Gunsmoke," "Deadwood," "Django Unchained," and every cowboy star of note has filmed here. A guest favorite. (Subject to studio availability)
Visit sites in Hollywood that tell the fascinating story of early Western films made in Tinseltown. The tour begins in Newhall and heads south to Hollywood, where we pass the site of the former Blondeau Tavern, Hollywood’s famed “Poverty Row,” and “Gower Gulch,” a historic hangout for cinematic cowboy-wannabes. Then visit the birthplaces of Paramount, Columbia, Warner Bros., & Universal. This tour is a favorite among guests. Join us for a fascinating step back to the birthplace of Hollywood.

Founded in 1899, scenic Hollywood Forever Cemetery serves as the "permanent home" for many of Hollywood's most famous (and infamous) characters. "H4E" boasts a fascinating history surpassed only by the compelling stories of its famous residents. Behind its iron gates are the graves of Cecil B. DeMille, Rudolph Valentino, Douglas Fairbanks, Marion Davies, Mel Blanc, Johnny Ramone, Don Adams, Bugsy Siegel, and a host of others whose memorials tell the history of Tinseltown in stone.
Los Angeles isn't the only place to visit film history! These tours begin Saturday morning and return Sunday night.
